About Steven Keegan

About Me

I’ve spent my career helping people navigate the complexities of relationships—whether that’s improving communication, rebuilding trust, or overcoming personal struggles. I know that seeking support can feel daunting, but I believe that with the right guidance, change is always possible.

My Journey

I'm Steven Keegan, and I've spent the last 15 years supporting people through some of their most challenging and transformative moments.

I began my journey in counselling with Relate, training as a Couples Counsellor and Psychosexual Therapist. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals and couples facing challenges in their relationships, intimacy issues, and addiction. My experience spans private practice, the NHS, and local authority services, giving me a broad understanding of the emotional and psychological barriers people face when trying to improve their relationships.

Tailored Support for Relationships, Addiction, and Personal Growth

For over a decade, I worked in the NHS Community Mental Health and Substance Misuse Teams, supporting individuals struggling with alcohol and drug dependency. During this time, I implemented Behavioural Couples Therapy, working with people whose relationships were deeply affected by addiction. This hands-on experience gave me a deep understanding of how compulsive behaviours develop and how they can be overcome.

Now, in my private practice in Doncaster, I work with couples and individuals as a relationship therapist and couples counsellor and those struggling with sex and porn addiction. I also cover divorce counselling and dating coaching. Every client I see is different—there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why I tailor each session to the person in front of me, ensuring that they feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward.

If you’re feeling stuck, whether in your relationship or within yourself, I’m here to help.
